【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoverscarbonsteelsheetpilingofstructuralqualityforuseintheconstructionofdockwalls,seawalls,cofferdams,excavations,andlikeapplications(seeSpecificationA572/A572M).1.2Whenthesteelistobewelded,itispresupposedthataweldingproceduresuitableforthegradeofsteelandintendeduseorservicewillbeutilized.SeeAppendixX3ofSpecificationA6/A6Mforinformationonweldability.1.3Thevaluesstatedineitherinch-poundunitsorSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Withinthetext,theSIunitsareshowninbrackets.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemarenotexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemmustbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnonconformancewiththisspecification.1.4Forsheetpilingproducedfromcoilandfurnishedwithoutheattreatmentorwithstressrelievingonly,theadditionalrequirements,includingadditionaltestingrequirementsandthereportingofadditionaltestresults,ofSpecificationA6/A6Mapply.
