【摘要】:Thistestmethodcomprisestwophasesandisusedtoevaluatetheignitionsensitivityandfaulttoleranceofoxygenregulatorsusedformedicalandemergencyapplications.Phase1:OxygenPressureShockTest8212;Theobjectiveofthistestphaseistodeterminewhethertheheatfromoxygenpressureshockswillresultinburnoutorvisibleheatdamagetotheinternalpartsoftheregulator.Phase1isperformedaccordingtoISO10524,Section11.8.1.4.2.1ThecriteriaforanacceptabletestarespecifiedinISO10524,Section11.8.1.4.2.2Thepass/failcriteriaforaregulatorarespecifiedinISO10524,Section11.8.1.Phase2:RegulatorInletPromotedIgnitionTest8212;Theobjectiveofthistestphaseistodetermineifanignitioneventupstreamoftheregulatorinletfilterwillresultinsustainedcombustionandburnoutoftheregulator.4.3.1Thecriterionforanacceptabletestiseither,(1)failureoftheregulator,whichisdefinedasthebreachofthepressurizedregulatorcomponent(burnout)andejectionofmoltenorburningmetaloranyinternalpartsfromtheregulator,or(2)iftheregulatordoesnotfail,consumptionofatleast90%oftheignitionpillasdeterminedbyvisualinspectionormassdetermination.Failureoftheregulatoratthesealringdoesnotconstituteanacceptabletest.4.3.2Momentary(lessthan1s)ejectionofflamethroughnormalventpaths,withsparksthatlooksimilartothosefrommetalappliedtoagrindingwheel,isacceptable.1.1Thisstandarddescribesatestmethodforevaluatingtheignitionsensitivityandfaulttoleranceofoxygenregulatorsusedformedicalandemergencyapplications.1.2Forthepurposeofthisstandard,apressureregulatorisadevice,alsocalledapressure-reducingvalve,thatisintendedformedicaloremergencypurposesandthatisusedtoconvertamedicaloremergencygaspressurefromahigh,variablepressuretoalower,moreconstantworkingpressure[21CFR868.2700(a)].1.3ThisstandardappliesonlytooxygenregulatorsusedformedicalandemergencyapplicationsthataredesignedandfittedwithCGA540inletconnectionsorCGA870pin-indexadapters(CGAV-1).1.4Thisstandardprovidesanevaluationtoolfordeterminingthefaulttoleranceofoxygenregulatorsusedformedicalandemergencyapplications.Afaulttolerantregulatorisdefinedas(1)havingalowprobabilityofignitionasevaluatedbyrapidpressurizationtesting,and(2)havingalowconsequenceofignitionasevaluatedbyforcedignitiontesting.1.5Thisstandardisnotadesignstandard;however,itcanbeusedtoaiddesignersindesigningandevaluatingthesafeperformanceandfaulttolerancecapabilityofoxygenregulatorsusedformedicalandemergencyapplications(G128).Note18212;Itisessentialthatariskassessmentbecarriedoutonbreathinggassystems,especiallyconcerningoxygencompatibility(refertoASTMG63andG94)andtoxicproductformationduetoignitionordecompositionofnonmetallicmaterialsasweighedagainsttheriskofflammability(refertoISO15001.2).SeeAppendixX1andX2.1fordetails.1.6Thisstandardisalsousedtoaidthoseresponsibleforpurchasingorusingoxygenregulatorsusedformedicalandemergencyapplicationsinensuringthatselectedregulatorsaretolerantoftheignitionmechanismsthatarenormallyactiveinoxygensystems.1.7Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddresstheignitionsensitivityandfaulttoleranceofanoxygenregulatorcausedbycontaminationduringfieldmaintenanceoruse.Regulatordesignersandmanufacturersshouldprovi......
