【摘要】:ThispartofIEC60825providesrequirementsandspecificguidanceforthemanufactureandsafeuseoflaserproductsandsystemsusedforpoint-to-pointorpoint-to-multipointfreespaceopticaldatatransmissionThisstandardonlyaddressestheopenbeamportionofthesystem.Ifportionsoftheequipmentorsystemincorporateopticalfibrethatextendsfromtheconfinementsoftheenclosure(s),themanufacturingandsafetyrequirementsunderIEC60825-1applytothoseportionsonly.Thisstandarddoesnotapplytosystemsdesignedforpurposesoftransmittingopticalpowerforapplicationssuchasmaterialprocessingormedicaltreatment.Thisstandardalsodoesnotapplytotheuseofsystemsinexplosiveatmospheres.ThroughoutthispartofIEC60825,light-emittingdiodes(LEDs)areincludedwhenevertheword"laser"isused.TheobjectiveofthispartofIEC60825isto:·provideinformationtoprotectpeoplefrompotentiallyhazardousopticalradiationproducedbyfreespaceopticalcommunicationsystems(FSOCS)byspecifyingengineeringcontrolsandrequirements,administrativecontrolsandworkpracticesaccordingtothedegreeofthehazard;·specifyrequirementsformanufacturing,installation,serviceandoperatingorganisationsinordertoestablishproceduresandprovidewritteninformationsothatproperprecautionscanbeadopted.BecauseofthenatureofFSOCS,alsoknownasopticalwirelessorfree-airinformationtransmissionsystems,caremustbetakenintheirmanufactureaswellastheirinstallation,operation,maintenanceandservicetoassurethesafedeploymentanduseofthesesystems.Thisstandardplacestheresponsibilityforcertainproductsafetyrequirements,aswellasrequirementsforprovidingappropriateinformationonhowtousethesesystemssafely,onthemanufacturerofthesystemand/ortransmitters.Itplacestheresponsibilityforthesafedeploymentanduseofthesesystemsontheinstallerand/oroperatingorganisation.Itplacestheresponsibilityforadherencetosafetyinstructionsduringinstallationandserviceoperationsontheinstallationandserviceorganisationsasappropriate,andduringoperationandmaintenancefunctionsontheoperatingorganisation.Itisrecognisedthattheuserofthisstandardmayfallintooneormoreofthecategoriesofmanufacturer,installer,serviceorganisationand/oroperatingorganisationasmentionedabove.AnylaserproductisexemptfromallfurtherrequirementsofthispartofIEC60825if·classificationbythemanufactureraccordingtoIEC60825-1showsthattheemissionleveldoesnotexceedtheaccessibleemissionlimit(AEL)ofClass1underallconditionsofoperation,maintenance,serviceandfailure,and·itdoesnotcontainanembeddedlaserproduct.
