【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoverspreformeddenseelastomericcompressiongasketsandaccessoriesforuseinsealingandglazingapplications.Thesematerialsaregenerallyusedtosealorserveascomponentsofcompressionsealingsystemsbetweenmechanicallyrestrainedsurfacesinbuildingconstructions.1.2TestMethodC1166,asreferencedinthisspecification,shouldbeusedtomeasureanddescribethepropertiesofmaterials,products,orassembliesinresponsetoheatandflameundercontrolledlaboratoryconditionsandshouldnotbeusedtodescribeorappraisethefirehazardorfireriskofmaterials,products,orassembliesunderactualfireconditions.However,resultsofthistestmaybeusedaselementsofafireriskassessmentwhichtakesintoaccountallofthefactorswhicharepertinenttoanassessmentofthefirehazardofaparticularenduse.Thefollowingprecautionarystatementpertainsonlytothetestmethodportion,Section9,ofthisspecification:Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.1.3Thecommitteewithjurisdictionoverthisstandardisnotawareofanycomparablestandardspublishedbyotherorganizations.
